Dear Intrepid Readers,
This is the last editorial letter before AWP—and we’ve got some really exciting news for you: The wait is almost over, and NonBinary Review #4, Bulfinch’s Mythology: The Age of Fable will soon be available to download for your iPad or iPhone! We have 35 brand-new poems, stories, works of flash fiction & art influenced by classical mythology for you to enjoy—as well as a dozen online Alphanumeric features, which will be bundled into NBR#4 when we launch the next issue. We’re happy getting this out the door before we head for Minneapolis, where we’d love to see you at our booth (#430, shared with the lovely folks from Paper Nautilus Press). It’s going to be a crazy four days, and our next editorial letter will be coming at you from Minneapolis!
If you’re attending the convention this year, we’re excited to meet you (especially if you’re one of our contributors!) We’ll have an iPad at our booth to demonstrate the app, where you can browse our catalogue and read the work we’ve published over the past year, we’ll be offering up some chances to win a free Starbucks gift card to folks who will give us a few moments of their time to take a survey about the functionality of navigating the Lithomobilus app through various Zoetic Press releases. In addition to the digital editions of our first four issues of NonBinary Review (which you can always download for free), we’ll also be offering broadsheets, an AWP-exclusive print issue sampler of work from the Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Frankenstein The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, & Bulfinch’s Mythology issues, AND Zoetic Press shot glasses for sale—and we’d love to have a shot with you! (You like Jameson, right?)
Hopefully, you’ve had a chance to enjoy some of the newest Bulfinch’s Mythology Alphanumeric features—recently, we featured work by both Jessie Janeshek & Lillian Sluglocki—and both of these fine writers have had new work published in Methuseline & The Doctor T. J. Eckleburg Review—definitely go give them a read!
You can follow us on Facebook (Zoetic Press, Lithomobilus) and also on Twitter (@ZoeticPress and Litho). We’ve been upping our social media postings and we’d love to see more reader & contributor engagement, so that we know our posts are giving you more of what you want. We also have a really fun Pinterest page and whenever possible, we post audio/video of our contributors’ work on our YouTube channel. Not a fan of social media, and just want the condensed version? Sign up for our monthly newsletter—we’re serious about your privacy, and promise not to flood your inbox. And if you haven’t already, download the free app—now available for both iPad AND iPhone!
Until next week—
Allie Marini Batts, Managing Editor
