Struck with these reflections,
I collected the remains.
The coasts of Arabia Felix on the right,
those of Persia on the left.

We touched,
we exchanged our goods.
We were becalmed,
elevated above water.

But while we were enjoying ourselves,
recovering ourselves,
a sudden trembled
shook us terribly.

The motion,
we should be lost,
just risen,
pursued.

Thus was I exposed to the mercy of the night.
I found my strength gone.
I crept along to find the voice of a answer.
A guide.

Who I was,
I should want nothing.

Strangers,
a thousand questions and I,
a noise of drums was heard,
rattling like owls.

I am that,
whom you thought to be dead,
in order to possess yourself
of what does not belong to you.

Alive.
At last.
I took out the circumstance
resolving to forget the miseries
and to enjoy the pleasures of life.
